Italy has recently launched a new project for solid waste collection management with Paratitalia, a company that develops innovation based on artificial intelligence, blockchain and wearable technology.
Paratitalia plans to roll out new blockchain related technologies in the coming two years targeting solutions towards solid waste management in Italy initially and later in other parts of Europe.
As part of its pilot the company has chosen 3 universities that are internationally recognized as well as with Meditchain consortium of Palermo to help carry out the said project.
The use of blockchain technology will help Italy prevent pollution though the use of the platform which will bring a general incentive system for Italians to minimize waste as well as a more effective system for the public waste administration.
