In a recent report released by crypto analytics company Diar last June 3 reveals that a majority of trading of stablecon Tether (USDT) are being conducted in Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges.
It estimates that around 60% of all USDT trading globally or over $10 billion in USDT trading, in contrast to the United States for only $450 million of USDT traded.
Cryptocurrency exchange giants Binance and Bitfinex reportedly account for close to the remaining amount of tether traded, around 31% of USDT activity.
The report also stated that these numbers represent actual trading and not just some cryptocurrency whales cashing out.
Tether is the first, most popular and most used Stablecoin in the crypto space which has recently announced its intent of using bitcoin lightning network as well as EOS blockchain.
