Crypto Startup Involved In Israeli-Palestinian Peace Plans

The Trump administration has tapped Israeli crypto startup Orbs to develop blockchain solutions for the region’s entrenched political problems.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said investment in the Palestinian territory would be like a hot I.P.O. with the White House aiming to put $50 billion behind its Peace to Prosperity plan.

Netta Korin one of the founders of Orbs states that her team has been working with the U.S. administration and the state department on several projects which she is not yet at liberty to disclose.

Korin is one of the few Israelis to join White House advisor Jared Kusher at the Bahrain summit where American economist Kevin Hasset floated the idea of using blockchain technology to resolve land titles disputes in the area.

According to Danny Brown Wolf, head of partnerships at Orbs and former advisor with Israel’s United Nations delegation, no one thinks technology can solve the conflict but blockchain could help distribute humanitarian aid to Palestinians and support economic development.
