One of the reasons for the slow adoption of cryptocurrencies despite the obvious advantages it brings to the table is the strong resistance coming from the traditional finance sector which has seen the emerging asset class as an existential threat.
However the asset class throughout the years has been too disruptive to ignore anymore and while many banks have resisted the coming changes, the enlightened ones are starting their tune.
Many major banking institutions are resisting this change with some accusing it as slow, expensive and even to the point of comparing it to a bubble or type of scam.
Cryptocurrencies time and time again has proven to be a resilient asset class which has survived several significant down turn with each time recovering to new all-time highs, and growing participation of institutional investors due increasing availability of institutional infrastructure.
