
The in-browser extension will be based on the plasma Cash design patter for off-chain processing of on-chain assets which is one of the solution to address the scalability problem of Ethereum network.
Plasma Cash was unveiled last year by Vitalik Buterin and in a away Ethereum’s answer to Bitcoin’s Lightning network.
Proponents of the project hopes that their technology will be able to process a much larger number of transactions per second and at the same time reduce the processing weight on the network.
While it remains to be seen, the throughput of the Plasma Cash-Enabled extension could rival that of MasterCard and Visa according to initial reports.
