As a sign of confidence on the technology that underlies cryptocurrencies one of the country’s biggest mobile operator, Reliance Jio, plans to roll out the country’s biggest blockchain platform.
Through a series of announcement the firm revealed several plans for the blockchain industry with partnerships from a number of global tech giants.
According to reports the mobile service provider is planning to launch its fibre optic broadband business next month followed by an IoT platform and one of the world’s biggest blockchain networks in the next 12 months.
While big businesses are already planning ahead, its government is still thinking hesitant to implement a regulatory landscape that would be conducive to innovation and in fact more inclined to banning and criminalizing cryptocurrency activities.
