
Member countries of G20 has been discussing on how to implement the standards set by intergovernmental organization such the Financial Action Task Force.
Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is a global standard setting body which has recently held its annual Private Sector Consultative Forum in Austria this month with over 300 representatives from the private sector participating in the said event.
During the meetings FATF discussions focused on the mapping of virtual assets services and business model and, the implementation of specific FATF recommendations on each issue.
FATF release a report last April to G20 stating that is working on crypto asset standards and promise to update its guidance in implementing a risk-based approach to regulating, supervising and monitoring the emerging asset class.
According to news outlets around the world have been studying how to regulate the nascent industry with many of them have crypto-related initiatives already in the pipeline or just awaiting approval.
