Co-founders of the New York-based crypto exchange Gemini, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, are looking into joining Libra Association, the consortium governing Facekbook’s proposed cryptocurrency.
According to Cameron they are definitely looking at the project with earnest and excitement adding that they have a feeling that this is the first of many FANG (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google) companies to have a token project.
The move is surprising considering the lengthy legal battle between the Winklevoss brothers and Mark Zuckerberg, their former classmate in Harvard offer the control of Facebook.
Coinbase is the only cryptocurrency exchange that has joined the Libra Association, joining the ranks of traditional financial players PayPal, Visa and Mastercard.
