Kodak is finally entering the blockchain industry as it plans to offer blockchain-based document management system.
Unlike its earlier attempt that was conducted via a third partly license this new service will be an actual Kodak product dubbed as the Kodak Services for Business.
The Kodak Document Management Platform will not be licensed to a third-party and is intended to for businesses and governments to store and manage sensitive documents and will be utilizing blockchain technology to provide efficiency and security.
The company estimates that users of the platform will realize around 20%-40% cost savings through automated workflows and decreased human management of content, information and documents.
This is not the first time Kodak forayed into cryptocurrency space as it lent its name before in a project that called the KodakCoin which after much delay will be launching on July 2019.
