Largest Department Store In Venezuela Now Accepts Petro

It seems that Petro is becoming a cryptocurrency with real use case as one of the largest department stores in Venezuela started accepting Petros as means of payments.

Without too much marketing hype Traki department store has started accepting the government issued cryptocurrency, announcing it through posters displayed around its store.

The initiative is being piloted in Traki’s Caracas branch and if proven successful will be rolled-out to the rest of its branches around the country.

This was confirmed by the National Superintendency of Cryptoassets, the agency that is tasked to regulate cryptocurrencies and similar assets through its official twitter account sharing some pictures of the said posters.

Traki has been a model for cryptocurrency adoption in the country ever since it started accepting cryptocurrencies in early 2018.
