The Taiwanese Cryptocurrency Exchange Maicoin has been negotiating with Facebook in an effort to become a member of the Libra Association.
Maicoin wants to be part of the nonprofit organization responsible for developing the social media giant’s long-awaited cryptocurrency project dubbed as Libra coin stablecoin.
According to Maicoin CEO Alex Lui, they have a positive response from facebook who said that they are looking for partners from around the world with high technical skills to protect the node as well as the capacity to build a local user base.
Liu said that his company does not need approval from local regulators to become a member of the Libra association but if it would allow the trade of Libra then they will need to seek official authorization.
