In a recent survey conducted by Paxful, a peer-to-peer bitcoin marketplace revealed that the majority of Colombians are familiar with cryptocurrency but they also believe that it could be the future of finance and technology.
The study shows that around 86.5% of the Colombians that participated in the survey state that they are familiar with cryptocurrency with around 80% of them willing to invest in the emerging asset class.
Of those included in the poll of are aged 25-40, 50% shared that they already invested or expressed an interest in purchasing cryptocurrency, with bitcoin being the most popular owned asset at 79%.
According to Paxful, the increase of digital currencies is likely linked to a hyperconnected generation constantly on the lookout for options that not only allow them to have 24/7 access to their financial assets also give them the freedom to make online global transactions in a simple way.
