Two of the biggest and famous blockchain projects originating from China have recently revealed that they will be working together to build an open cross-chain platform that will serve as the foundation for the next-gen internet.
Neo dubbed as the Chinese Ethereum and Ontology, a project of Neo’s parent company, OnChain, plans to leverage each other’s strength to create an efficient and inclusive interoperability protocol.
Da Hongfei and Li Jun, founder of Neo and Ontology respectively, have both expressed optimism in the partnership which they both hope will bring real-life solutions and use-cases that will benefit the two companies and the wider community.
However it must be noted that the new protocol will not issue new tokens and will not include a dedicated smart contract system to ensure an eco-friendly approach to member chains.
