
The governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, has recently signed bill S2297 which will see the creation of the New Jersey Blockchain Initiative Task Force which the primary aim of studying blockchain solutions for the benefit of the state.
This announcement was made through the official websites of New Jersey adding that that task force will study the risks and rewards related to distributed ledger technology its use cases around the world and its potential within the state.
The task force will consist of 14 members who will be appointed by officials in various positions of government and will be tasked to compile a report on its findings and cost-benefit analysis of introduction blockchain tech into government agencies as well as its recommendations.
The group has 180 days or around 6 months to report on its findings and recommend relevant and effective solutions to effectively leverage it.
