In an effort to make itself more competitive Blockchain payment startup Ripple is looking to make new investments and acquisitions according to its CEO.
This announcement comes after its Q2 financial report which revealed that the company's total sales of its native token XRP increasing by 48% to $251 million driven primarily by institutional sales.
Garlinghouse did not reveal in which companies or industry Ripple is targeting but his company maintains an option to invest a further $20 million in MoneyGram at its original purchase price that it might consider to exercise.
This is in light of MoneyGram’s announcement of it using Ripples xRapid transaction production to maintain liquidity when making international transfers.
