The mobile wallet app Samourai Wallet will be teaming up with the French hardware retailer Nodl to create a bitcoin node device that syncs with the formers privacy centric mobile wallet application.
Michel Luczak, Nodl co-founder reveals that the new product will be a fill self-validating, bitcoin and lightning node that will enable users to use the mobile wallet without relying on Samouri Wallet’s servers.
The new devices will be available later this year and Nodl node owners can download Samourai Wallet’s Dojo software to upgrade their Nodl node devices.
The new iteration of Samourai’s wallet app will include a new feature called Whirlpool which batches bitcoin transactions together across wallet sin order to obfuscate the source of funds.
Aside from the mobile app the Samourai team Nodle devices will also be preloading whirlpool desktop mixing allowing users to access and manage their Samourai Wallet mixing on their desktop.
