The Seoul Metropolitan Government will be establishing its first blockchain-based administrative services this coming November where the city’s blockchain points system will be introduced.
As part of this initiative residents of Seoul will receive S-coins of for the use of public services and will be able to redeem these points for rewards.
Residents will be rewarded with the said cryptocurrency each time they pay their taxes, participate in public opinion polls and other activities that the local government decides to reward.
The local government also plans to release by November, a blockchain service for submitting qualifications without paper documents, a blockchain-enhanced digital authentication for the use of public services.
