Singapore-based Blockchain payment system and stablecoin issuer Terra has recently added South Korean music streaming platform Bugs to its e-commerce alliance.
Terra Alliance uses payment solutions provider CHAI as its front-end which incorporates a mobile payments app that enables it to connect to 15 major local bank, tis built on top of
Terra’s blockchain-based platform linking payment to e-commerce sites.
Shin also shares some of the challenges in doing blockchain business in South Korea saying that unlike the U.S. where if something is not illegal it can be done, in his country entrepreneurs should not attempt to something unless it is specifically declared as legal.
While digital assets have been met with some skepticism, blockchain technology is enjoying adoption across various sectors from government agencies to some of the most well respected financial institutions in the country.
