Self-Expanding Crypto Mining Infrastructure using green energy: Get to know ENVION

As you may know, several cryptocurrencies nowadays use Proof-of-work (POW) protocols, where you have to spend energy to mine new coins and support the existing transactions. This often uses lots of GPUs and consequently quite a lot of electricity.
Many people are asking theirselves if there's a way to use cleaner sources of energy (like the wind and the sun for example) to optimize mining facilities.

And of course, many other questions arise when we think about the subject:

  • How to optimize power consumption for mining?
  • How to make facilities easy to scale up with low costs?
  • How can I utilize the otcomes of this energy production (e.g heat produced) to add value to my envinroment?

Their First generation mining unit was ready in 2015 and they want to go full-mode on mass production in 2018.
They can reproduce these containers full of mining power quite fast and for the video you can see that the plan is to expand all around the world and not only in the region of Europe.

Their main website also contains a ROI calculator where you can check how long it'll take for your investment to return and how it may grow with time.
They claim that a $8,000 USD investment can give a total return of $141,645 USD in 5-year time. With a projection of 161% each year.

The mining facilities use a mix of their own system called Envion OS and Linux. (you know it's much safer than windows!), all of it has cooling optimization and is easily scalable!
They also have great security system for the containers and even a DDoS mitigation to protect their servers.
