We have wrapped up our vacation as I have previously posted but it turns out we ended vacation on a sick note.
My wife started with a bit of a cough on Friday and by Saturday she was feeling worse. When we finally got home after the prolonged road trip I was able to convince her to go to bed and that we would unpack in the morning.
On Sunday morning she was not any better so I tested her for COVID and wouldn't you know, she was positive.
She has spent the majority of the last 2 days in bed which is very unusual for her. I have been working to keep her hydrated and medicated and today, I made her get up and walk around a bit.
I have been a little under the weather since Friday but I have not become as sick as her.
I contribute that partly to treating a good number of COVID patients the few weeks before our vacation.
Our original plan was for me to fly to Ohio for an extended family vacation with my mom and sisters. We had rented a beach house on Lake Erie for the week.
My wife would fly up at the end of the week.
These plans have obviously been canceled as I am not certain of my status yet and I would not want to infect my sisters and my mother.
So now I have the next nine days off so I reckon I will be getting some household projects done as long as I am feeling up to it.
