Quick and easy...

I can finally feel it is time to make art again... but of course we have this little problem for a lack of DRY space.
I think like an artist, I feel like an artist and I am nuts like an artist... I basically have all the traits of an artist (including an ever wondering mind), but I haven't been creating anything for far too long now!
So It's time to expand and de-clutter my shop! After all, the point of building a nulti-familly homestead with a makerspace is (in part) to have all the tools and space to create whater we want to create!
I got one of those tents you see at farmers markets and festivals. I put the 10x10 foot tent up just outside the existing shed (my little workshop) to have more space for all the shit I seemed to have accumulated since moving onto the property.
We really need to be more organized before The land of dreams start to look like a junk yard... Though I am told it will keep the property value down, wich means it'll also keep the real estate taxes down!
So, about this bench than,
I found a pallet that fit the bill, and went to work on it. First I made sure I chose a pallet I could cut down the center without having to remove anything:

Than I measured it and cut it right at 2ft, the center in this case:

Of course not even half way before the first cut, my batteeies on the skill saw ran dry!!!! It's ok, we have hand tools too. The pull saw worked great.
Once I had two halves of a pallet, I screwd them into a scrap piece of plywood I had laying around waiting to have a purpose, cut two pieces of an old 2x3 about 2 feet long with 45° angles cut at both ends and VOILA:

It's not stable enough so I'll have to cut two more angle pieces and see how that works. What I like about this is the fact that everything, even the screws were sourced for free and saved from being sent to a landfill!!!
Be happy and more of happiness will come..
