So today starts the first day of our road trip down the coast of California. We are super excited to have @teamsteem visiting California. @karensuestudios and I really wanted to show him some of our favorite places in California. There are so many beautiful sites to see and places to explore, you really need a lot of time to fully experience the beauty of California.
First stop is Muir Woods. Muir Woods is located in Northern California just an hour away from San Francisco. This beautiful National Park is known for the massive towering old redwood trees. there are many hiking trails that you can explore and admire these epic trees. These trees range between 500 and 800 years old and the oldest is at least 1200 years old. Amazing! Imagine if you could see everything that these trees have seen in their lifetime. In Muir Woods, the tallest tree is 258 ft tall. These trees can grow to about 380 ft tall.
During our visit to Muir Woods, we hiked the main trail that Loops through the lower valley where these beautiful trees live. be found out that there are also many other cooking trails that allow you to Adventure and Explorer bee clean area mount Tamalpais State Park. Later in the day, we ended up driving to the top peak of Mount Tamalpais.
This place was a perfect spot to start our adventure!

Have you ever been to a redwood forest? There seem to be a few other Redwood forests in California. I am excited to check them out in the future.
