That's a good point, but you have to remember that emulation isn't necessarily accessible to the general audience. I can easily replay the game if I want to, but that won't get Nintendo to acknowledge it and bring it to the audience that either can't or doesn't want to emulate it. So that's why I still think it's a good cause.
