Hi everyone! I wanted to make this two year Anniversary post for awhile and saw @theycallmedan had a great challenge perfect for it! On July 1st, 2019 it was the two year date of being here on the STEEM blockchain! I have literally posted almost everyday, rarely ever missing one. I started out on Steemit posting nature and city photographs. I worked my way into posting about recipes I was cooking as well. Food photography was incorporated in there too. I received my first big upvote about 2 or 3 months into posting daily. It was like a $75 upvote! That was so crazy, I felt so amazed by this! It was a great post for sure but I had always had just .04 or so on my posts so it was indeed a awesome surprise! It was awhile before I saw any other big upvotes. I also started using the upvote bots which back then in 2017, you could make a lot of money with them! STEEM was so high too, like the time it was around $10! That was so crazy but a great time and exciting as well.
I learned a lot about crypto by listening to Steem Speak in Discord! Fyrstikken has an awesome - Steem Owners group at steemspeak.com What awesome trades were going on and I just feel in love with crypto then! I searched high and low for a crypto game to play. I started off with cryptokitties but it was so boring and the Ethereum blockchain was awful. It was so slow and fees were so so high! Then I found cryptofighters and had some fun getting to the top of the leaderboard but like so many other crypto games the developers slowly stopped working on it. It was also on the Ethereum blockchain and was just not as good as when I finally heard about Steem Monsters coming to the STEEM blockchain! I saw their announcement about six months prior to their release of it. I was eagerly waiting for it and I was drawn to it instantly! I am a STEEM girl at heart, I love it and am here to stay!
I no longer played the other games and sold most of those assets and put them all in Steem Monsters which is now called Splinterlands! It was so much fun and still is. There is so much to be earned daily in Splinterlands and the community is outstanding! I appreciate and am grateful for everyone who is a Splinterlands member and also everyone on the STEEM blockchain! STEEM is home to me. I am especially thankful for Aggroed and Yabapmatt for creating this awesome game! Please make sure to vote for them as witnesses, they truly deserve it. I am excited about 3speak as well and can't wait until the application open up again!
