~DIY~ 2001 Ford Excursion Swaybar Bushing Replacement ~DIY~

Welcome back everyone to another DIY project done by me... Splatts. If I have the slightly thought I can do it myself and save money... I will. So hopefully by watching my videos and reading my blogs it encourages some of you to tackle a project yourself. Learn something new and maybe teach someone else how to accomplish a task. Plus save yourself some money by Doing It Yourself. This upcoming project is a rather simple one being there are only 4 bolts to remove, but locating the issue was the difficult part.

Replacing the Swaybar Bushings on a 2001 Ford Excursion

After sounding like the front end of my Excursion is going to rattle apart for months, I finally asked for a hand to locate the issue. It was borderline embarrassing having someone else in the truck with me. Clunk, Clunk, Clunk your can feel every bump in the floor and hear that aweful Clunking noise. My first instinct was the swaybar end-links and when that didn’t fix it, I was kind of stuck. So with the help of a fellow Lineman I jumped in the Running board of the truck and got that beast rockin’. Within seconds the problem was located. What a relief!!

A quick stop at the auto parts store, $20 and about 20 minutes of my time The this beast is back to riding smooth once again... well as smooth as a Lifted Ford Excursion gets anyhow.

This should be the same for the following years of Ford F-250’s and F-350’s 1999 - 2005 I think I misstated this info in the video. This goes the same for Ford Excursions 2000 - 2005 also.

Side note: Lineman don’t read very good and it is a 13mm socket not a 12mm. It says so right on the socket. HAHAHA

Until next time...
