The Greens' 10th Anniversary 005
When we started in 2010, we believe in the power of arts for environmental change and behold, our Green Arts program has been one of the most exciting programs.
This explains why we initiated the Green Arts Program in 2010 during our Beautiful Clean Green Schools Project at Gratitude Bilingual Nursery and Primary School. We registered over 15 great environmental art works from the pupils of that institution.
With the support of our Green Elders, Richard and Monica Jeffers (Papa J and Mama J) as well as funds raised by our pioneer international volunteers - Colby and Mallory, we created Green Peace Talents Center in 2013, a center equipped with art, music and educational materials for young people to learn art, poetry, music, storytelling, etc for free.
Over 50 children and youths registered and actively participated in the programs of the Green Peace Talents Center
From our Green Peace Talents Center, we launched our Green Arts Program in schools and ever since then, the art works have just kept coming.
In 2018, we participated in the UNESCO/ISESCO Children are painting the World Art Contest and three of our Green Artists received certificates of recognition for their great environmental art works.
Through our Earth Rangers program, we have acquired and equipped a Green Art Box, that we are circulating among young people in communities to bring out their dreams and desires for the planet in the form of art.
Today, we are celebrating our artchievements with a database of over 100 Environmental Arts and having given over 10000 young people the opportunity to express their creativity.
