Here is my seventh entry for this awesome game from @matkodurko.
This initiative is simple - what have I learned recently?
No theme this week...
Over the past few days I learned:
No. 1 - The LA Rams started in Cleveland!
I knew they'd moved around in recent years, but I had forgotten where - I was out of the country for most of their time in St. Louis and didn't follow American football closely. So, anyway, my husband and I were arguing about where the Rams were in those years, so I looked it up.
I can't say I'm surprised because teams often move around, but I hadn't known about this one.
In fact, according to the [Wikipedia article], the Rams are the only team to have won the Championship in three different cities - Cleveland in 1945 (they moved in '46), Los Angeles in 1951 and St. Louis in 1999.
No. 2 - There is a cool RPG running on the Elite Discord server
A number of times each day, someone pulls a monster card for everyone to fight. You click the swords (don't click the other unless you have lots of coins to spend) to battle every other round - try not to be last or the monster will attack you! When you die, type "rez" to resurrect for 150 Elite coins.
There are other random events as well, making it a good Discord to sit on if you've nothing better to do than writing and editing as I do quite a lot of the time. You can buy chests (okay) and living crystals (essential) as well as other perks if you have enough Elite coins. (I won a trivia quiz to get 1000 coins the other day.)
If you like fighting monsters in your spare time, give this game a chance. Here's more information on the {Elite Coin site](https://www.elitecurrency.info/).
No. 3 - Hares live in nests, rabbits live in burrows
I like ending my books with a nice little wildlife scene to bring you out of the problems of Terrenden... Today, I threw in an extra scene at the end of Spice of Strength (currently being serialized on Steemit - and to show up on Whaleshares in about two months, I guess) using a pair of hares at the side of the road to Kyrila who get frightened by the stones skittering across the road towards them. I assumed they'd go into a burrow, but thankfully, I looked it up - and discovered I was completely wrong. Hares live in nests in the grass.
No. 4 - Crypto problems like you wouldn't believe!
Are your keys secure? Good.
But can someone you love get them in the event you become unable to use them yourself?
After Gerry Cotten suddenly died in India taking his information with him to the grave. Now, his company, QuadrigaCX’s has lost control of $137 million US ($180 million Can) in assets. There are efforts being made to regain control of this money, but for the moment, it's completely unavailable - maybe permanently.
Is anyone else carrying all their eggs in one basket??? Hopefully, others will take heed of this warning!
No. 5 - Snow on the beach on the North Oregon Coast!
This is a rare occurrence. Usually the snow falls further inland, but occasionally, it gets right down to the water line. The storm that whipped through last night did just that.
Here's a nice long video clip from KGW, one of the news channels in Portland. Haystack Rock is off Cannon Beach, Oregon and is one of the major landmarks in the area.
Snow in Seaside, Oregon from The Oregonian newspaper.
Here's a Facebook video - should be public enough to see it - from KATU, another news station. This one shows kids sledding right on the beach!

I think that's going to be it this week.
Even if you're not entering the contest (why not?) what have you learned this week?
