Can you spot the moon?
I am just over the half-way mark of my holidays. For those who are getting tired of reading about Benalmadena, that is good news right? Unfortunately, that is also the bad news. It means you have to read about Benalmadena for another 32 days or so. That is my ‘Benalmadena Challenge’. At the end of the ‘Challenge’, you will know Benalmadena as if you have been there.
Today I will post about my friend, Roger’s cooking. We take turns to prepare dinner. I cook Chinese dishes, and he does western dishes. He is a better cook than I am. My dishes are simple. Just throw everything into the wok or frying pan and give it a good stir until it is cooked. In between, add salt and spices to taste.
Western dishes need more attention. Here are some of Roger’s specialties.
Pork cheeks – This has been featured. This needs an afternoon of slow cooking (stewing). Very tender, very nice.

Pan-fried Pork tenderloin with potatoes and mixed vegetables. The tenderloins are really good – really tender.
This is a combo-meal - pork chop, and burger with potatoes and beans. For some reason I had forgotten to take a picture of the pork chops meal.
We are both not into beef much. Occasionally, we will go for some burgers – just for something different.
Chilli Concarni. Basically, chilli with meat in a sauce of beans, mushrooms, onions, pepper and tomato, serve with rice.
We are both easy going when it comes to food. Our meals are simple affairs - simple and nice. We eat because we are hungry, and we need to eat.
