The Woodcraft Gallery.
This is my entry for this weeks #marketfriday challenge hosted by my friend, @dswigle

The Wooden Gallery is situated on the site of the Old Butter Factory in Doepel Street, Bellingen in New South Wales, Australia.

It is a unique shopping village which contains a cafe, a variety of shops which include Cargo Lane, Mac's Opals, a Massage Boutique, the Woodcraft Gallery, the AWL Leather Place and the Nexus Gallery which promotes the arts and is the venue for regular exhibitions.

The Old Butter Factory is known as a unique arts and cultural centre and houses both specialist retailers and rare art. Many of the regions most respected artists have created their artwork here.

My visit to the Woodcraft Gallery was very enjoyable and I recognized the quality of their work at a glance.

Many of their products were unique and the fact that they have been hand-crafted, added much to their value in my opinion.

Their unique creations are made on site and they produce items such as gifts, ornaments, homewares and furniture.

No flaw was visible on any product that I had the pleasure of viewing. Every beautifully hand-crafted piece was finished to perfection and it was obvious that a lot of care had gone into the finest detail.

Just like the AWL leather products in one of the other shops, I could not resist running my fingers over the smooth glossy or satin surface of the wood.

The famous Windsong Chimes have been around since 1985. Their superior wind chimes are tuned precisely to carefully chosen musical scales and have been beautiful designed to adorn the décor of homes of many styles.

Windsong Chimes graced the Sydney Harbour Bridge to celebrate its landmark 75th anniversary. The charming sound of these chimes created in the beautiful Bellingen Valley were heard by all who had the opportunity to set foot on the bridge on this occasion.

Look at the variety of wood that has been used to create these lovely mortar and pestle bowls.

Amongst the array of Australian fauna I have spotted sulfur crested cockatoos, a willy wagtail, and kookaburras.

The setting surrounding the Old Butter Factory and its wonderful shops is very picturesque and it lulls one into a relaxed shopping mindset.
And that is a dangerous scenario at the best of times because as any shopaholic will tell you, it is way too easy to spend more than you originally intended when the atmosphere works very efficiently in the retailers favour.
