When Your Child Dies Under CPS Care

What happens when your child dies in the custody of Child Protective Services?

One mother from Louisville says that CPS took her 3 children away from her last year, after she went to the hospital with her daughter. At that hospital visit it's alleged that the doctors had diagnosed her daughter with heart failure.

Hundreds of children have died under CPS' watch.

Not even one death should be acceptable when this is an organization that claims to be removing children from unfit homes to provide them with a more secure and safe environment.

That Louisville mother is blaming CPS because her daughter died while under their care, she had been in foster care. This organization checks up on millions of children every year and often separates families that should never have been torn apart. They have brought a significant amount of suffering and pain to many families and children.

Children have reportedly been dying at alarming rates while in foster care.

A great deal of those deaths allegedly aren't being responsibly investigated either, which means there can be no closure and justice for the families of the victims.

Some CPS caseworkers themselves have admitted to having doubts about removing children that they shouldn't, struggling with having to do that to a family and knowing or feeling like they are completely in the wrong.

Various agencies that have been tasked with looking after these children have allegedly failed to take the most basic protections to try and avoid those tragedies. Because of the various shortcomings that have been found, both critics and lawmakers have been increasingly looking to overhaul CPS, an organization that's repeatedly been said to be plagued with problems.
