It is a very beautiful day and weekend here, I bring to you my food review on the @foodfightfriday initiative and I am @mattsanthonyit welcome to my Food Corner today. I will definitely give you the best food preparation and review when it comes to this aspect and you all know it. Today, it is very different because I have alot of Photography proof to show for all my steps. I do this because of those of us who are very much interested in Practicing the method of food preparation, so stay tune and grab your coffee cup and feel relax. This is a special food delicacy which took me 2hours 15minutes while Preparing it and I would like to share me Preparation steps for everyone to see it clearly. The is called An African Indigenous Delicious food Delicacy White Pounded Yam With A cool Appetizer to the stomach Vegetable Soup With Red Meat Combo. You may have missed some of my post but here we go again.
This kind of meal can be Consumed Nationwide even throughout the world, some can eat for breakfast, some lunch , some dinner Yes it is true. So let get back to work real quick.
In this episode of food preparation, I will go with how to prepare White Pounded Yam first.
How To Prepare White Pounded Yam Showing Its Step By Step.
Step 1.
The first thing I did here was to brought out the white yam and do the manual slicing into the same size and shape. This is highly necessary to be considered because if you are going for pounded Yam, you must take some few things into notice, the size of the yam, the shape, the yam quality as well determine a successful yam pounding. If the yam is not well sized it will over cook while some will be half done which is very bad for Yam pounding.
Step 2.
The second step talked about the washing of the White Yam into two different bowl of Water which showed the level of personal hygiene recommendation. After that, it being washed thoroughly I lift hand it into a clean pot .
Step 3.
Step 4.
In step 4 what I did was that I poured the water into the pot filled with the white yam moderately. It has to be measured so as not to over done. Then I cover the pot and lighted the gas. I left it on the fire for 20minutes at moderate lighting.
Step 5.
In Step 5, I had to double-check the yam if it's done properly. So, not yet I had to covered it for 10 more minutes.
Step 6.
Before the Yam was finally done, I had to prepare the Mortal and Pestle which I will use to carry out the pounding Process. I washed the Mortal and Pestle twice because of dust and related particles as shown above.
Step 7.
In step 7, I used a little bit of technical skills to handle the case here because you need to apply some tips during the Yam Pounding. You have to pound rounding circular motion then come to the middle and do the same pounding. This is to ensure that there are no small yam seeds left inside it. After I finished with that step, I further applied hot water method, this is to perform a good solution to reduce the thickness, the durability and softening it more to individual taste as shown above.
Step 8. ( package section)
In step 8, I showed the package Process which may differ from individual choices. But in my own case I used white transparent Nylon to rap it up and packed it well and dropped it inside a clean cooler as shown above.
Second Phrase ( Cool Appetizer To The Stomach Vegetable Preparation)
The materials needed for this Vegetable soup Preparation are shown Below.
Red Oil
Pepper
Hand grinder
Onions
Knife
Dired Locust Beans.
Dried Catfish
Meat
Empty clean bowl
Step 9.
The first step I took here was that the special Vegetable was washed thoroughly with two different bowl of water which apparently was my rules in any kind of Vegetable Soup Preparation. Although, we have different types of method of Preparation as well. But I chose to wash before slicing or cutting it into desirable size for the soup.
Step 10.
When I finished washing the Vegetables, I had to cut into into smaller pieces required by me.and so, I had to as well drained the excessive water coming out from the Vegetable with Seive as shown above.
Step 11.
I had to washed the pepper thoroughly because I do not know the source of it , so it must be washed well. Then, I proceeded to the grinding and slicing of the Onions as shown above.
Step 12.
As for the dried locust beans, it must be first of all washed , then rinse for the dusty particles to go off then poured little bit of water in it to ask a bit as shown above.
Step 13.
As for the dried Catfish, I had to remove the scale and the back of the fish to reduce smoke dust particles as well as shown above.
Step 14.
In step 14, I already poured the Red Oil, the pepper, the sliced Onions, the Washed Locust beans , the water from the boiled red meat as well. So there is no need for salt and Maggi any more. I put two red Meat there too.
I had to cover it for 15 minutes to cook very well. This is because if the Pepper do not cook well, it will affect the other part of the body like running stomach and co.
Step 15.
Yes!!!! Finally, I had to serve myself and take a seat to enjoy the Meal, it required alot of hardwork and patience to achieve this. You can as well Practice this method it is safe and hygienic.
