Hey guys. Been busy last few days so my videos are late, but tomorrow im doing a larger recording session that will keep me going for at least a week i hope. :)
But i wanted to do this post before that. I was really thinking of what to do for my birthday (I turned 29 on 7.7., 1 from 30. 😨)
Give away "special cookies"🍪 and beer 🍺 like @bobaphet, @eftnow and @nannal joked in the #dtube chat the other day or do something else.😀
I also had a discussion with @pechichemena in the #helpie discord about doing something like this, so i decided to try out something for my birthday i havent done before.
An #openmic related music competition.
You guys all know how much i love #openmic. A month back i did a post trying to collect some SBD for the reward pool, as to help out @pfunk and @luzcypher when Pfunk dropped from the top 20 witnesses.. (BTW guys... Vote @pfunk for witness!!!!)
With the help of large accounts like @vortac, @kpine, @kevinwong, @shaka and 90 more smaller stake holders we managed to collect 30SBD for that week of Openmic.. I know this is a minor thing but as someone that is just now closing 500SP i felt a tremendous amount of pride that i was able to put this in motion.
Anyways, i wanted to do a #openmic related competition. This competition isnt supported by Openmic but i will be using the platform for it. (Disclaimer, hehe). Ill be paying out the prizes from my wallet.
So what are the rules here?
Since this wont be a classic kind of music competition i wont be going by simply quality. You do not have to be a good singer to win this. Make me laugh, make me cry.
The main criteria is EFFORT.
I will be running this competition for 7 days. From today to Tuesday 17.7.
If you skipped the text here are the "simple" rules..
RULES
First place winner gets 10SBD, second place 5SBD
- Submit an entry to #openmic Week 93 or 94 (until tuesday 17.7. ) and follow their rules. (first tag #openmic)
- You must use DTUBE or DLIVE to upload your entry (add a youtube link to comply by openmic rules)..
- THE IMPORTANT PART. Sing one song (Karaoke is more then fine although that might hurt your Openmic chances a bit due to having to play an instrument.) in a FOREIGN language you do not speak. Songs in English language are not allowed.
(Croatian works as well haha)- One of the tags needs to be: #fmcompetition
- Post your entry in the comment section on this post.
Tomorrow i will upload my own example of how this should look. I will enter openmic with a French song, "Je suis malade" by Lara Fabian.
How this will go through or will it even get seen, i have no idea since i wont be using bots. haha. If theres only 1 entry they get the first prize! :D
I really think this is a fun little twist and it could be interesting for some to try something new.
