I don't know about anywhere else, but it's very hot in the UK right now. We may see record temperatures today. It's 32C outside and not much cooler inside. No, we don't have a/c. We wouldn't generally need it much.
Still, whatever the weather, #FollowFriday must go on! This week I'm featuring some cryptocurrency/blockchain projects that have found a home on Steemit.
- I expect everyone has heard about the Byteball airdrop for Steemians. Has anyone not claimed yet? If you haven't then please consider using my link. There doesn't seem to be an official account for it, but @punqtured and @tarmo888 are part of the project. You can earn more with various betting bots and games. There is a 'byteball' account, but it's not active and may just be a squatter.
- @mannacurrency used to be called Grantcoin when I signed up. It's a form of basic income where you get allocated some each week. You get more if you can recruit others, so here's my referral link. It's just cents per week, but if you can sign up hundreds of people then it adds up.
- @communitymanager is a non-obvious account for the Wirex debit card (also a referral link) that you can load up with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ripple. They are adding Ethereum too. I use exchanges to send some Steem earnings there so I can spend it.
- @etch is a blockchain-based platform for paying hourly workers that is based in London. I heard about it from arty person @ultravioletmag who works for them and I've been to an event at their cool office.
- This last one is not crypto-related, but I'll give @joyoftech another mention. They make geeky comics and have been around for nearly 20 years. Getting more established comics onto Steemit is a great way to spread the word. They don't have to rely on ads here.
