We are grateful for the opportunity to share food here in the Garden of Eden!
One way we do that is by giving away free food every single day, and we extend the offer to you too because we are here to help one and all: if you or anyone you know wants or needs food, contact us - we will give you free food, no questions asked.
Another way we do that is by preparing daily feasts for our full time volunteers and having communal meals together, which we love to share on the blockchain!
Photographs are a great way to share food across time and space to bring people together, and we also love to share the recipes behind the photos to inspire you to recreate the yumminess in your own kitchen & share with family and friends!
Today, we want to share an excellent food formula for easy PAN FRIED TILAPIA WITH ORANGE GINGER RELISH:
Ingredients:
- tilapia filets
- orange juice
- orange zest
- garlic
- almond flour
- chopped pecans
- eggs
- onions
- peppers
- green onions
Method:
Marinate tilapia filets in orange juice.
Make a breading mix with almond flour, chopped pecans, and orange zest.
Sautée garlic.
Dip the tilapia in beaten egg.
Then dredge in breading mix.
Thoroughly coat each filet.
Fry in the hot oil with garlic.
Cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
Prepare the relish by sautéeing chopped onions, bell peppers, and garlic until onions are soft and translucent. Add orange juice, orange zest, and grated ginger, and gently simmer for a few minutes.
Put the fish on a platter, top with relish, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and dazzle your dinner guests!

We do all of our cooking over fire, using wood that was otherwise destined to end up in a landfill! This is one of our rocket stoves in action - we built it by hand out of dirt.
