I have always a big fan of Chinese Hot Pot. And after I talked about it for so long, my colleagues Neesha and Kat were eager to give it a go, lol! So I decided to take them to one of my favourite restaurant “Tian Fu”, which is located right next to "Westfields" in Shepherd’s Bush.
The chicken stock base of the hot pot was quite nice and there was plenty of variety including meat, vegetable and noodles to choose from. We opted for the “Yuanyang Pot”, which is a double-flavoured pot where you get to enjoy both the spicy and non-spicy soup base, divided into two parts. Although my favourite has got to be the spicy half, where the steaming hot boiling soup is filled with Sichuan pepper and chili! What better food can you ask for in this current freezing winter weather, haha!
Sauces are self-served and presented on the side. In terms of the food, they offer up most of the classic dishes of hot pot and you can re-order as many times as you want as long as your stomach can handle it all!
My colleagues were super impressed and in the end, we filled ourselves so much so, that we barely managed to walk out the place, lol. I would highly recommend this place if you ever feel adventurous enough to give Chinese Hot Pot a go!
