The Sins of the Fathers...

The smell of burning incense hugged the walls of the cathedral almost as if it was a part of it. Father Augustine stood at the altar and stared at the silver chalice without really seeing it. The words of the processional hymn kept singing in his head, long after the mass was done.. The Sancti venite... And it brought him a unique sort of pain. He felt it deep within his heart. Pain which he could not express; pain which he could not alleviate; pain which he could not run away from. He closed his eyes.. Today was the anniversary of one of the missing. The sixth one of eight boys spread round the districts. Mass had been a sad one. He had tried his best to give the people hope, but he wasn't sure if he had succeeded. The pain he felt wouldn't let him think of anything, anyone else. It was pointless. Father Augustine knew what he must do, what he had to do to momentarily forget. He made a quick sign of the cross and left the altar. Then he made his way out of the cathedral towards his living quarters at the back. Through the garage door he went, and down a flight of hidden stairs to the basement. Here he entered a small secret room, and locked the door behind him. There was only a small single bed in the room. Slowly Father Augustine undressed, taking off each piece of garment with practiced care. Then when he was done, he reached under the bed and pulled out a skull, the skull of a little boy. And through its tissue-filled, oil-drenched neck Father Augustine inserted his already stiff manhood. And as one deep thrust gave way to another, he felt his pain slowly give way to pleasure, and more pleasure, and more pleasure still. And about twenty minutes later, as the bells of the cathedral called out the twenty-first hour of the day, Father Augustine grunted with relief... His pains were temporarily spilled... And he wondered as he slowly began to gather his robes, if the other seven Parish Priests felt the same way...
