WILD AND WOOLLY (5-minute Freewrite)

The time had come to cut bait and run, or face the consequences of their actions. Jules and Marvin were caught in the act, and neither could lie their way out this time.

The wild and woolly duo were always getting into trouble one way or another. Earlier this year it was the sofa. Last month, the antique coffee table. Today was the icing on the cake.

In fact, the entire wedding cake Missy had been baking, stacking, icing, and decorating for the past three days. There was no way the pair were going to get off without some form of punishment and they knew it. Guilt was written across their faces.

Missy, spotting a moment that she knew wouldn't last, ripped pulled off two sheets of parchment paper. With her permanent marker she wrote the crime in big bold letters. She turned on all the lights in the kitchen, and got out her cellphone.

Laughing to herself as while posting photos to Zappl, she felt a twinge of guilt. After all, it was Missy who forgot to lock the kitchen door that would have prevented destruction of the wedding cake by the sweet and playful golden retrievers.
