"Not smart, Mr Herd," she says walking calmly away from me.

My blood is pouring from the wound, and I can do nothing to stem the flow, not being chained to the chair like this.

"Please stop screaming. It is most irritating." She wipes the blade on a tissue and places it onto a tray. She picks up something white - bandages I realise - and approches. "The sooner you stop behaving as if we are stupid, the better. The better for you. And the better for us. Do you think I want to waste my time, stabbing you, pulling out your tongue or drilling into your crotch?"

I stop screaming and stare at her opened mouthed.

"Please," I say, through gritted teeth. "I am telling you truth. I am not Mr Herd. I don't know 'what banana tastes like' - well, I do, but apparently it is not the answer you are looking for. Please! Tell me what I can do, what I can say to convince you."

I stop and I wince as the bandage tightens against the wound. I look up to her with my pleading eyes.
