"Look Mom, this seahorse is pregnant, " Damon screamed excitedly calling his mom over.
His little sister, Darlene came over too, "Wow, I bet she is happy to be a mommy like you did, Mommy!"
The kids were extremely excited to be at the Aquarium tunnel. Ella knew she made the right choice to bring them there because like Dean, they just cannot resist loving sea creatures.
Ella looked at the sea horse, it reminded her of hherfirst child. That's how he looked like before he passed on. He was a very handsome looking boy with great confidence and always having a glowing countenance on his face. But before he died, he gained himself a potbellied body with the rest of the body being really thin and yes his complexion turned yellowish. All because of the liver failure he had that caused his liver to stop functioning, hence the toxin of the body could not be processed out of the body. They were so close to get him a new liver and the transplant was about to take place but he didn't make it. He died in Brazil, the very place the transplant was about to take place. He was almost turning 18. Her tears dripped.
Suddenly, someone held her shoulder. She looked behind and saw it was Dean!!! How could that be?
"Mom, you got to tell Darlene and Damon that this seahorse isn't going to be a mommy, but a daddy! The male seahorses are the ones being impregnated," he smiled gently as he explained.
"Dean, is that you? I miss you so much, " she was in total disbelief.
"Yes, I know that Mom. I miss you too. Don't worry I'm well here. I'm not potbellied or suffering anymore, " he gave Ella a peck on her cheek.
After that, his image was vanishing. Ella looked around and there wasn't any trace of him at all.
"Mummy! Did you see that seahorse? She is going to have twins! Like Dean and Damon!" her youngest daughter came tugging her coat. Ella got awakened from her daze.
"No, honey, that seahorse is going to be a daddy. Someone just came over to ask me to tell you that, " she said that as she quickly wiped away her tears.

This is a fiction, again inspired by a real life story of a boy I knew who died of liver failure. He was the son of my friend's church members whom I used to visit rather often. When he was having that condition, he really was potbellied and he was itchy all the time. His liver transplant was about to take place in Brazil as his dad is a Brazilian who found matching liver there for him but he didn't make it. This freewrite is dedicated to him.
Freewrite is a prompt writing initiated by @mariannewest and @improv to write a free-flow post without correcting or editing. I checked out her post to really get what it is before I jumped on the bandwagon. Basically, there is no right or wrong, just let the mind and fingers do their work, to find our creative self and let it come out of us.
