It’s all coming together, perfectly,
don’t you think?
Family, it has never been closer,
Friends, a bunch of them for the fuzzy feels,
Finances, in line with the advice of investment gurus,
with enough for your lifetime and the generations to come,
Fitness, up to the mark, not just strength but flexibility,
Future, arriving according to plan
But
Illusion never changed
into something real
To strive your whole life
to live the great American Dream,
and just when after many long years of toil
all the pieces start coming together,
magically arranging and forming themselves -
Just when everything seems to be coming together,
the puzzle of life
falls apart -

Inspiration:
The first thing that came into my mind was this quote I came across today: "Illusion never changed into something real."
I decided it would be interesting to explore the intersection between illusion and reality, between dreams and real life.
