5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: Museum

I love museums. Museums offer a peek at history. Museums also offer a unique opportunity to practice a very important skill. I am referring to the skill of being able to yawn with your mouth closed. To do this you basically set your jaw tight, yawn while gritting your teeth somewhat and then exhale the yawn through your nose. Throughout life there are times when you find yourself being told information that you are not very interested in. Learning how to mask a huge yawn of boredom can dramatically change the speaker's impression of you. Especially in situations in which someone is talking to you in a one-on-one situation. If a supervisor is explaining to you why your workplace metrics are 1.2% below the average a huge regular yawn could reveal the truth that you really could care less. Alternatively, a hidden closed mouth yawn accompanied by serious look and slow nod of acknowledgement accurately portrays attitude of accountability that will leave your manager feeling satisfied.
