She was always the bridesmaid, never the bride
Her tears she could not hide,
She died an old maid, asking herself
Why she never tried.
She was always the aunt, never the mom
"I don't mind." she lied,

Why her soul mate had died.
He played her game, always the pair
In her deck of life,
But she was the one, holding the card
Never to be his wife.
She was always the mourner, she pined away
Sadly forced to abide,
She died an old maid, as her last tear dried
