Today is a day to remember our brave military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty for their country. As we celebrate them, we give thanks for them as we share a meal together with family.
Most spring or summer holidays are celebrated with bar-b-ques or cookouts, so I decided to prepare a vegan bar-b-que for my husband. Because of this great competition, ( #fruitsandveggiesmonday) started by @lenasveganliving and hosted by the lovely @plantstoplanks, I find it easier to find and prepare vegan foods.
Beyond Meat has two varieties of sausage, Brat and Hot Italian. They also have the Beyond Meat burger. We put the hot Italian sausage and the burgers on the grill and cooked them for about 15 minutes. Four sausages went on the grill, but I only retrieved 3. Someone ate one right off the grill, it must have been good.
Earlier this morning I made potato salad, vegan (without eggs) and regular (with eggs). The potatoes were peeled, chopped and cooked over high heat. The ingredients used to make the potato salad are below. I don't have exact measurements for each ingredient as I prepare by sight and taste.
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, then stir to combine.
Sprinkle paprika over salad and it's ready.
Hubby enjoyed the burger and hot Italian sausage dog, but mostly he enjoyed my potato salad. Everything turned out good.
Until next week, Bon Appetite
