thinking fundition accountability as first donations come in for steemcasting!

I had to check in with @pennsif about this before I stepped forward with utilizing the funds we had in for the project already because it's the first time i've ever ran a fundition project before and i wanted to make sure i'm utilizing it correctly with the right reporting.

we had a $20 donation from @project7 (thanks man) from the @steemhunt project (I mod there) which was taken in fundition and converted to steem, it's still sitting there because i think i'll wait a bit longer and work on a bit more of the content side before starting the third party service package (it runs on a month by month basis to get the service/server providing i need)

which left me in a quandary looking at the steem in the account because I don’t normally receive funds in steem that I don’t then power up to boost the accounts credibility.

Also got me thinking about the project much bigger (good thing) so I’ve decided to add on three actions straight away and i'm happy to say that i got the steem-engine.com token sorted after tonights steaming pile EU show with @johnspalding and @pennsif -- was good to kick that off.

Donations & Advertising

Relying on donations to come each month to cover the ‘hard reality’ of bills is a stress id rather not have every month so it’s probably better if we get the pricing locked down for regular promotion on the live streams for existing steemians, advertisers outside of the chain.

Obviously this is a bit of a chicken and egg until it’s really got a schedule running with content playing around the clock — especially as we still take time to build out a schedule.

Delegation

While delegation as a business model on steem is often not a good thing it does show you who supports your project and wants to see it succeed — having the ability to upvote our contributor posts is highly valuable to making content relationships too.

Future Token

I’ve been saving my steem to afford a token over on steem-engine.com putting bits of steem in when I can. Once you have 100 steem you can exchange it for 100 ENG and assign your token, which we tried to do on the show but it failed miserably because it was a live demo/show and because i was not using my ACTIVE key, after the show finished i got it working! :)

thank you to both @johnspalding and @pennsif for the support, very kind to help me hit that 100 ENG needed! :)

The token we picked was VLOG, the idea is that in the future we will support people who contribute content to steemcasting will be incentivized for it and we really want to support the steem engine project too because it's an interesting project in rapid development.

ok, time for me to get beauty sleep! :)
