As the 133rd International Labor Day was being celebrated on May 1st, 2019, we remained trapped by ghosts towns in the English speaking regions of Cameroon as the crisis get worsened day in and out. Most employees in this part of the world had lost their jobs and are now internally displaced persons with little or nothing to feed on, lack of finances to support their activities.

As the government of Cameroon continue to play her hide and seek game which she knows best, ignoring all recommendations given her by the international community and rights groups, the international community is not exerting enough pressure on him, reason why the military continue its violation of human rights. Prices of basic commodities have for some time now witnessed a steady increase, and families are thus unable to afford talk less of leaving your region to another.

As the advocacy for better working conditions, better salaries, employee's benefits, working hours the world over, the suffering masses in Cameroon should also be considered. Other regions in the country respected the call and as such witnessed great celebrations although good working conditions in this part of the world favor only a privileged few.
