A fun and humorous game with lovely pixel art: Pixel Heroes Byte & Magic

This post is part of my "First Impression" series. Here's what I do in these:
I'll be playing & posting about as many games from my backlog. I'll write about them and think whether I'd try finishing them or not. Since many of them are from Indiegala you can guess the chances.
Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic
Pixel Heroes is fun RPG-like game, it parodies the whole genre as will as table-top and video-gaming in general. The game follows the journey of party you create. What made me like this game is its homur.
"He's deathly afraid of hot rice." I wonder how he can fight monsters, having a phobia like that.
Everything from Character description to the quest is funny or a parody for something. Like a man who's cursed by a witch to speak in capital letters only, and an old woman who once fought for the world's peace and want her old party remains back.
Gameplay
First you have to choose the heroes you want from a list of Randomly generated heroes. Then you have to look for quests in town, and prepare for the journey before going into a dungeon and fighting monsters.
Battle Screen
The game plays very simple and you only need a mouse to do everything. The battle system isn't that intuitive but it becomes engaging after you get used to it.
The game is challenging and without tutorials, it requires you to learn from your mistakes. The easiest difficulty is called "hard." There's also "Brutal." which get unlocked after you win some dungeouns.
Loot, Loot Everywhere!
Final Thoughts
This is only my first impression about the Pixel Heroes, but the time I spent on it was very fun. The game knows when to parody a game element and when to not do that. But I fear it'll become repetitive after few hours.
