It has been a while since i bought a new video game the last of which being Persona 5 of which i am yet to finish. God of War was released on April, 20th and had been a much anticipated release and after seeing the trailer i was hooked, the game comes from a studio called Santa Monica Studios whom i am unfamiliar with but after a quick google search i found that it is a development team owned by Sony Entertainment and God of War seems to be their most successful project.

I have been playing the game since its release and i must say i am very impressed it reminds me of a mix of Devil May Cry and Dark Souls, God of War blends Nordic and Greek mythology to create an interesting universe,
the main protagonist is named Kratos and is the son of Zeus who has found himself raising his child single-handedly after his wife passed away and ends up subject to numerous trials and tribulations.
Below is some of my own gameplay which shows "The Head of Thamur" stage which i thought was astounding, the background and artwork in general is something to behold and so far this stage has been the most memorable for me.
