A little catching up to do by logging the weekend's activities. After a shower at the Club, Saturday morning, it was off for a nice walk uptown to visit the Grocery Store and the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission's THC Shop. With a knapsack full of goodies it was back to the harbour area where the town market was just getting started. After buying some yummy assorted home baked squares it was back to the club to share some with Shelly, who had played a big part in my dingy's rescue the previous day.
After a square and cup of Club coffee it was back out to Makina. Neil dropped a text to say that he was giving support to the wife of a friend who was in hospital. He had suffered from an aneurysm. He suggested we try to get together again on Sunday.
Did a lot of gaming throughout the day and made some nice headway with my character's development, but the most exciting play was my encounter with Firebrand the Dragon!.
It happened during solo play when out with my tamed bear completing some town commissions gaining some less combative character experience gains.
When coming over a rise, in the mountain foothills west of the town of Joeva, standing majestically at the bottom of the rise was the Dragon, Firebrand!

A call was placed to the Global Chat that the Firebrand event was active. Such events randomly appear after a minimum count down. Firebrand being a world boss was a somewhat more rare event than most.
Fighters, mages, bards and clerics from all over the Riverlands began to answer the call.
A Town Mayor led the Raid. He was the one with the flying mount in the screenshot above. He waited for all the warriors to gather and then, when ready, he gave the command to attack.
It was a fairly flawless raid. A powerful max level Tank kept Firebrand busy while ranged attackers, like my ranger, let loose a firestorm of arrows and spells upon it.
The mighty beast eventually fell to the devastating onslaught.
Once Firebrand was defeated, most of the Raiding Party headed back to the town of Joeva to drop off their loot from the mighty winged creature's drops into storage.

The whole experience had me pretty pumped. So much so that contact was made with my Daughter and Son-In-Common-Law to ask if they were up for a hack and slash session on Sunday. They were pumped as well and started the download for the latest game patch.
After a little YouTube binging, sleep soon followed.
Sunday morning looks promising weather-wise and Neil and myself made plans for a supper at Mr. Fish. However as the day progressed the weather turned and it started raining with a strong southerly blow. We called off our plans with the hope that our paths may cross again as Neil was back to Ottawa on Monday (today).
By 16:00 my Daughter and Son-In-Common-Law were online and we had a great session. Both my Son-In-Common-Law and myself leveled up. He to level 8 and my character to level 13. My Daughter's character in on the verge of levelling as well.
Passed out for an early evening nap and woke around midnight. After some YouTube videos sleep found me again. We shall have to wait and see what today shall bring.
