There are times when people just want to escape from the real world. We want to go somewhere or do something that can make us escape from reality. When we feel so stressed out from the events in the real world, we tend to find another world that can calm us down. There are various of worlds one can go to, for example: MUSIC.
I have seen several quote somewhere in the Internet which pertains to music.
- "Music is my world."
- "Music is my escape from reality."
- "Earphones in. Volume up. Ignore the world."
These are just some of them. Sometimes, people don't understand why we tend to escape from reality. Living in another world temporarily is healthy. We can relax and refresh... then we can go back to the real world and face it head on with less worries and mental/emotional baggage. However, it would also be a problem if we totally forget reality and live in that alternative world we chose to escape forever.
In my case, I have a lot of alternative worlds to choose from. When I feel so stressed out, I could go to the "Music World", "Anime World", "Art World", etc. Having a lot of choices is very convenient for me. It might not be the same for other people, but for me, it is! So for this post, allow me to share one of my "worlds"... and that would be MOBILE GAMING.

I combined pictures which I "screenshotted" from my phone.
In the past, I used to play Video games and Online Games. I stopped playing video games in high school because my family and I transferred in the countryside. It would be difficult to buy new games and stuff, also I had to adjust in the new environment. As for online games, I started it when I transferred back to the city. I met this guy best friend which introduced me to the world of online gaming. I and my family didn't have computer and Internet connection back then, so I used to go to Internet cafe during my free time.
I did it until my third year as a University student. I was too stressed and pressured with school, hospital duties, research works and whatever stuff there were in the Nursing Department. So, I and a very close friend tend to use whatever free time we have to go to the Internet cafe and play online games. Unfortunately, my escape from reality lasted longer than "temporary". I had this rebellious stage where I skip classes and just play. lol... and it affected my grades. I had problematic grades in midterms, so I decided to choose my priority. I left online gaming for good and focused on my studies. I was able to save my downfall at the last minute.
Fast forward many years... I graduated my first University major, got a job and made more major decisions in life. Now, I find pleasure in Mobile Gaming. Well, I've been playing mobile games for years now, but it's on and off. Why? Because there are times when I chose not to have a phone. I survived months and months without a smartphone. And recently, I decided to go back. Last month, I bought a new smartphone. Well, part of the reason is my mom. Her phone is broken and she tends to use mine most of the time. I'm in need of my phone these days, so I decided to give my mom my old phone and bought myself a new one. It's not the "high end" type of phone, I just want a phone with long-lasting battery. Yes, something perfect for gaming!
So here, let me introduce to you the mobile games I'm playing these days...
Ikemen Sengoku

This is an "Otome Game". An otome game is actually a story-based game. They have various plots and part of the goal is to develop a romantic relationship between the player and the characters in the game. I definitely love Otome games. There was a time, perhaps 2 or 3 years ago, I got so hooked with Otome games that I played around 6 or 7 games at once.
Now, I'm only playing this one. It's called Ikemen Sengoku. I chose to play this game because the plot is so interesting. The player accidentally changed Japanese history by preventing the death of Oda Nobunaga. Well, according to one character (a very interesting one), that what happened to the player is a mixture of "Time Travel", "Alternate Histories", "Divergent Timelines"... Ugh~!!! I just love these concepts, so I'm definitely playing this one!
Aside from the plot, there are a lot of "Ikemen" or handsome 2D guys. I'm an otaku, so bear with my craziness... These 2D guys also comes with "voice" dubbed by really awesome Japanese seiyuu (voice actor).
Uta No Prince-sama: Shining Live

If you're into the anime "Uta no Prince-sama", you will definitely enjoy this game. No, this isn't an otome game but a rhythm game. A rhythm game is a game where you tap some stuff on your phone as it moves along with the music. In case of this game, the "rhythm part" looks like this.

Each song has four different levels which are "Easy", "Normal", "Hard" and "Pro". I really love Uta no Prince-sama anime especially the songs, so this game is something really interesting for me. Anyway, I mentioned the "rhythm part" earlier because it's not the only part of this game. There is also a "story part" which you have to complete in order for you to unlock the songs.

You can choose the character that you like as the leader of your group. In my case, I chose Syo Kurusu because aside from being one of my favorite characters, he also resembles my ultimate love "Tegoshi Yuya". So, when I finish an episode of the story, I can then unlock a song which I can play in the "rhythm part".

In this screenshot, I have only unlocked 5 songs, but as of the moment, I have unlocked 7 songs already. Yaaay~!! I hope to unlock more songs especially my favorite ones soon.
Homescapes

Homescapes is very similar to "Candy Crush". It's like a puzzle game that gets harder and harder in every level. My mom really loves this game. Though it's similar to Candy Crush and any other puzzle games, there's a certain difference that made it more interesting. Every time you finished a level, you will be given a star. And that star will allow you to improve your home. The home looks like this.

I really love the graphics and the improvements done in the house. Actually, there is another game similar to this, also from Playrix. It's called "Gardenscapes". I used to play it, but I find Homescapes more challenging, so I chose to play this instead.
Baseball Star

My craziness for baseball traveled from anime to game. It's great how I learned the rules and whatnots of baseball from anime, that I am able to play this game with the right strategy. And because of that knowledge, I can thoroughly enjoy this game.

In this game, you can create your own team and choose which style to play. You can play in "League Mode" or "Challenge Mode". In "League mode, you can play similarly in baseball leagues. You get to play against various teams and try to keep your status until the championship. As for "Challenge Mode", you can challenge a single team and choose how many innings you want to play.

In the picture above, I was playing the "offense" or batting. I couldn't hit the ball because I was taking a screenshot. Worry not, though, I didn't get struck out. haha

You can also play the defense part as the pitcher. I really enjoy being the pitcher because I can choose what pitch to use and the area to pitch the ball. It could be played automatically or manually. You can also choose the player based on their ability. If you want a stronger player, you can level him up or you can combine 2 players in one. There's also a window for that. It's great how you can control and improve the team's ability.
The fielders are automatic, but you can control the runner. You just have to choose the perfect player for every position. However, if you're not sure who should play the position, you can set it to automatic as well.

I won the Challenge Mode against King Eagles. I chose to have a full 9-inning game and as you can see above the score was 6-2 in favor of my team. I really really enjoy this game and it made me more curious and interested in baseball.

Actually, I started playing another game called "Ghost Town". However, I'm still trying to figure it out. Anyway, these are the games that I really enjoy playing nowadays. Playing them helps me improve my mood and I'm really glad about it. There is nothing wrong in playing games for as long as you know your limitation and priorities.
How about you my fellow Steemians? Are you also into gaming? If so, which kind? Video games? Online Games? Mobile Games? Tell me about it! ^^
I'll end my post here. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I highly appreciate it.
