The objective
Revulsion is a retro-style first person shooter involving elements like that of the original Doom and Quake, challenging levels and enemies, needing to expect the enemies to attack you shortly after killing and progressing a little more into the level, and the general feel of the classic and enjoyable retro games.
You aim to complete levels, seeing how far you can get while using the basic RPG elements of crafting and upgrading weapons/armour etc, leveling, and finding as much loot as possible.

A solo built game
@thecastle Has been working on this all by himself in the Unreal Game Engine, something I am familiar with as I too have done a little project in Unreal, solo. So I can respect the effort and good work put into the game and will continue to play and progress as far as I can!

First thoughts
Revulsion so far has been an enjoyable experience providing not only a slightly cautious bit of gameplay out of worry an enemy attack could come at me at any minute, but also the challenge I get like the original Doom offered. Enemies aren’t one shot kills with the starting pistol, it takes accuracy and multiple shots until you can get better weapons, bullets don’t always travel straight depending on the gun which is reasonable, then you get a fair amount of loot and credits.
I have died multiple times (including a heap while getting my loot back and then dying from the swarms) 😂, I see the re playable aspects of the game through changing your play style, using different weapons, upgrading things differently.
Also! There is a survival sort of mode in the levels to test out your skills, offering a good challenge along with some loot at the end of it to help on your journey.
Should you get it
If you are into the old school games like Doom and Quake, love a challenge, want to support another Steemians journey, and have a fun time playing a cool game, then yes you should get it or at least look into it and see if you would be into it!
